This private residence features incredible waterfront views that in the summer, should be enjoyed sun up to sun down. However, the Jersey Shore sun is brutal in the summer. The purpose of this structure was to shade a portion of the deck that usually reaches exceedingly high temperatures in the summer sun. The cable railing on the deck was already existing and so this pergola was custom designed to replace the existing post this a structural beam and run the cable wire directly through it. This unique design also features weaved fabric and was specifically built at height that would not disrupt the view to the water from inside of the house.
